Kelly Rodman is entering her 7th year as an Northeast Amateur Scout with the New York Yankees. She attended MLB Scout School in the Fall of 2013 and began pursuing her dream in 2014 as an Associate Scout with the New York Yankees. In 2017 the New York Yankees hired her. Kelly has been honored with the Gil Bassetti Scouting Award. Kelly has been to Instructional League in Tampa with the New York Yankees. She attended her third MLB Amateur Draft with the New York Yankees. She was a Team Representative along with Nick Swisher in this Years MLB Amateur Draft at MLB studio 42 in Secaucus, New Jersey.
She has volunteered her time with Baseball Miracles a non profit charity that brings Baseball and Baseball equipment to less fortunate kids all over the world. She visited Kentucky and Argentina last year with Baseball Miracles.
Prior to her scouting career, Kelly has worked for ESPN in Media Assets. She was part of the Team that won an Emmy Award for Sports Center.
She worked for a privately owned Japanese Company who held an MLB License that allowed her to be in all 30 MLB Clubhouses for five years working with players, managers and coaches.
Kelly played softball at Eastern CT State University and thereafter 12 years in the New England women’s baseball league in Connecticut and Boston, traveling to the Dominican Republic, Japan and Canada for international play.
